Change String: an essential tool in all projects involving name changes in the Lotus Notes infrastructure.


Change String is a very useful tool for all projects that implicate name changes (person, server or database) in the Lotus Notes infrastructure, such as migration or recertification projects.

Change String can also be very usefull in development projects since it is also capable of locating and modifying strings of characters in the code.  

ChangeString is used to locate and modify occurrences of a string in one or several Lotus Notes databases. Change String searches the string in all database components, namely:
 the design structure (forms, views, agents...).
 the documents
 the profile documents (Delegation Profile, Calendar Profile...).
 the access control list
 the database properties (Title, user activity, replication history...).

If the modification is related to canonical names (CN=.../OU=.../O=), ChangeString can process the documents unread tables.
