Overview Benefits
CMT for Coexistence ™
CMT for Coexistence with ZApp provides seamless, high-fidelity email and calendar coexistence between IBM Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange.
NEW VERSION!
CMT for Coexistence with ZApp™ 2.1 now includes improvements to calendar fidelity and to scalability for larger deployments. A significant number of enhancements were made to improve the handling of updates, changes, reschedules, and cancellations to single and recurring meetings between Notes and Outlook users. In addition, the software was optimized to improve the scalability and performance of large enterprise deployments.
CMT for Coexistence with ZApp™ acts as a traffic cop on the Domino server by identifying message types and automatically “massaging” them to produce the intended results. It enables your Outlook users to see and act on Notes graphic links, buttons, forms, and other email-enabled applications, and it keeps even custom and complex recurring calendar events in sync between your Notes and Outlook users.
If you need Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange to coexist and play nice, you are facing a serious challenge. No matter which root cause landed you in this situation, be it a merger, acquisition, an executive initiative to change platforms, or a cloud computing/Software as a Service (SaaS) initiative, setting up coexistence that you and your users will be satisfied with is not as straightforward as implementing the Microsoft Transporter Suite.
While the Transporter Suite does setup a robust SMTP connection between Notes and Exchange, your users will be sure to let everyone know about confusing email addresses and not being able to decipher the attendee status of calendar invitations, that their peers aren’t getting updates to their recurring meetings, and that their email-enabled Notes applications no longer work. Won’t life be grand. Fortunately, there is a solution.
CMT for Coexistence with ZApp (ZApp is short for Zero-touch Application Remediation) eliminates the disruptions to user productivity, collaboration, and business processes by adding key coexistence functionality that doesn’t exist in the native SMTP transport upon which the Microsoft Transporter Suite relies
CMT for Coexistence with ZApp acts as a traffic cop on the Domino server in the form of an add-in task and Extension Manager. It identifies message types and automatically “massages” them to produce the intended result. Your users stay happy. Your help desk doesn’t get more inundated than they already are. And you have some good ammo for your next performance review.
